The president of the International Chamber of Commerce believes that behind the case if TBC is interest of Bidzina Ivanishvili. He wants to cease the project of the Port of Anaklia.
"From my point of view, this case is 100% politically motivated. Bidzina Ivanishvili is trying to achieve two things, first of all, to stop the Anaklia project. Secondly, he tries to avoid political opponents as Mamuka Khazaradze because he can gather people and play a decisive role in the 2020 elections, thus Ivanishvili is trying to take two rabbits together. In my opinion, by signing the decision about the accusation against Khazaradze and Japaridze, Ivanishvili signs his death sentence because he can not survive. The pressure will be so great that it will completely destroy him. Ministers and Prime Minister deceive everyone - investors, the international community, the United States government.. Georgia has very dangerous period now and many people do not understand it," - Fady Asly said.
The Prosecutor"s Office has completed the investigation on TBC case. The Investigation charged Mamuka Khazaradze and Badri Japaridze. They are accused to legalizing illicit income. In case of accusation, they will face up to 12 years of imprisonment.
