Embezzlement of large sums of money - The investigation against three former ministers of the Georgian Dream, Davit Shavliashvili, Zurab Alavidze and Dimitri Kumsishvili, is underway.

The case concerns a $ 710 million project and the amount earmarked by the European Investment Bank for construction of the Samtredia-Grigoleti road.

The investigation is in progress on alleged abuse of office and embezzlement.

According to the Courier, activation of the prosecutor"s office against former senior officials has been accelerated by the findings of the European Investment Bank.
According to one version, Giorgi Kvirikashvili, the ex-prime minister, will be summoned to the prosecutor"s office in the near future.
The investigation is likely to study ties between Kvirikashvili and former officials.
Whether former Georgian Dream officials will be detained is unknown.
