The investigation against Alavidze, Kumsishvili and Shavliashvili is in the final stages. The case concerns a $ 710 million project and the amount earmarked by the European Investment Bank for construction of the Samtredia-Grigoleti road. The investigation is underway with regard to alleged abuse of official authority, and embezzlement.
According to one version, Giorgi Kvirikashvili may be summoned to the Prosecutor"s Office in the nearest future.
