Protests are taking place in the Haitian capital. Thousands of people demand the President"s resignation.
Jovenel Moise is accused of inflation and corruption. The President announced the creation of a commission a few weeks ago to resolve the problems, but the opposition refused to dialogue and demanded his resignation.
Moise was elected in 2017. His main pre-election pledge was to alleviate poverty and boost the country"s economy, but 60% of Haiti"s 11 million population is still below the poverty line.
