The use of audio or video surveillance may become compulsory during minors’ questioning. Such a statement the Public Defender Nino Lomjaria made after the meeting in parliament, where the 15-year-old teenager’s death was discussed.
“We welcome that MPs share the public defender"s position, and we think we will have the opportunity to discuss the initiative on making audio or video surveillance mandatory during minors" interrogation.
I consider this a proper protection tool helping us avoid psychological or other pressure on juveniles”, - said the Ombudsman.
