Two employees of the Tbilisi Sea Hospital tested positive for coronavirus.
According to Marekhi Bekaia, the Head of the Critical Medical Department of the clinic, their health condition is stable, with mild symptoms. They have been transferred to the First University Clinic in Tbilisi for further examination and treatment.
“All the people they had contact with have been quarantined, including patients. As for the source of the infection, epidemiologists’ opinion differs on this issue. Some of them believe that the virus might have been imported, that is, they might be carriers and showed symptoms later, while another opinion is that they could be infected. So now epidemiological research is underway”, - explained Marekhi Bekaia.
