Upon the request of the Georgian Government administration, Facebook has suspended dozens of fake Facebook accounts using the name of Amiran Gamkrelidze.

 “Since the first cases of COVID-19 were reported in Georgia, dozens of fake reports have been created on the social network on behalf of the Head of the National Center for Disease Control and Public Health, through which specific groups have deliberately spread misinformation. The administration of the government has applied to the social network to remove these fake accounts and they are already suspended. At the same time, the administration is actively investigating other false accounts using the names of other health officials”, - reads the statement of the Government administration.
