Presence of parishioners in the church from 21:00 to 06:00 increases the risks of COVID-19 spreading - Tikaradze

The presence of parishioners in the church from 21:00 to 06:00 significantly increases the risks of spreading the virus. Such a statement made today the Minister of Health of Georgia.

“It is very important to understand that all this is a threat. From the very first day, we have been calling on everyone that the risks do not reduce either from 21:00 to 06:00 or from 06:00 to 21:00. It is important to correctly share responsibilities and to properly understand the threats facing not only Georgia but the whole world.

We have clear examples of tragedies in different countries because of non-compliance of recommendations. It is important that our citizens follow all the rules issued by the State and the Ministry of Health.

Despite some distancing, the danger remains. People will stay in the temple for 9 hours and this will significantly increase the risks. Therefore, the best way to protect our health and safety of members of the church is to stay at home as much as possible”, - said Ekaterine Tikaradze
