The Government of Georgia will help citizens who lost their jobs because of the pandemic with monthly GEL 200 for 6 months. Such a statement the Prime Minister made during the presentation of the anti-crisis economic plan at the sitting of the Anti-Crisis Economic Group of the Inter-Agency Coordination Council.

“All the employed, who lost their jobs during the crisis, after the declaration of the state of emergency, and who no longer have income, will receive assistance from the state in the amount of GEL 1 200 for 6 months, which means that they will receive GEL 200 every month.

The sustainability of this assistance was critical to us. With the funds we have today, at least 350 thousand citizens will be able to get assistance, which will cost 460 million GEL for the budget. The purpose of this measure is to provide minimal financial support to people who have lost their jobs”, - explained the Head of the Government.
