According to Amiran Gamkrelidze, the tariff for private clinics will be officially determined, presumably, today.

The Head of the National Center for Disease Control explained, if the state provides private clinics with tests, this amount will be reduced by 100 GEL and the cost for testing will be 50 GEL.

He highlighted that PCR testing in state clinics is free.

Gamkrelidze also said that they conducted 11 942 PCR tests since February 4.

“The process has intensified since April 20. We carried out 600-700 tests per day during the last 6 days. We will increase this number to 1,000 by the end of this month, to 1,500 – by mid-May and later, to 3,000. This is the standard, introduced by Austria, Germany, Switzerland and etc”, - concluded the Head of NCDC.
