Vladimer Putin awards Kim Jong Un with a Medal

Kim Jong Un received from Vladimer Putin the medal “75th anniversary of Victory” in the World War II for his “significant personal contribution to perpetuating the memory of Soviet citizens who died and were buried in North Korea”, the Russian embassy to Pyongyang said on its Facebook page.

Russian ambassador Alexander Matsegora handed the medal to North Korean Foreign Minister Ri Son Gwon in a ceremonial atmosphere.

According to the embassy, 1 375 Soviet soldiers are buried in the territory of North Korea.
