We have been recognized as a safe, a green country and a desirable country for all visitors. Such a statement made today the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development of Georgia during the meeting with ambassadors accredited in Georgia.

“The fact that we were able to open the domestic tourism on June 15, means that we did everything right. This is a result of a lot of hard work and joint efforts. I don’t mean just the Government, even though it really worked 24 hours a day to achieve such success.

There was a very big involvement of the private sector and I want to thank our tourism industry. There was also your support, dear Ambassadors, because the opening of domestic tourism took place amid Georgia’s very important recognition - we have been recognized as a safe country, a green country and a desirable country for all visitors, and you’ve greatly contributed to this.

We felt this at every step of planning and implementing the anti-crisis plan, when we mobilized foreign aid so quickly with your help, with the help of international financial organizations, without which no single country would have been able to cope with this new and unknown challenge. Thank you very much”, - said Natia Turnava.
