Fire at the Varketili market burned down an area of 4,000 square meters. Such a statement made the Head of the Tbilisi Main Division of the Emergency Management Agency.

“At the moment, we completely extinguished the fire. About 4,000 square feet of storage booths burned in the fire. For safety reasons, three more fire engines remain on site. Firefighters had to work on the site all night. We can"t say what caused the incident yet. The relevant services are working on the spot to determine the causes of the fire”, - said Otar Kereselidze.

He added that corresponding authorities are working on the site and they will examine the causes of the fire.
