The Minister of Environmental Protection and Agriculture, Levan Davitashvili together with the members of the US Chamber of Commerce took part in the online meeting.
The representatives of more than a hundred companies attended the meeting, whereby, the Minister outlined the importance of programs developed under the Anti-Crisis Plan "Taking care for Village and Farmers" to overcome and mitigate the economic impact of Covid-19 pandemic in the country.
The Minister declared, that above mentioned programs will help farmers in increasing their production.
"We have already identified ways to make the most of our agricultural potential, including the growth in exports, or achieving self-sufficiency. The main focus was set on the importance of foreign direct investments in the agricultural sector. The Ministry has a number of specific projects related to the agro-zones, which is a platform to attract qualified investors ”Levan Davitashvili said.
At the online meeting, which was organized by the US Chamber of Commerce, the Minister of Economy and Sustainable Development, Natia Turnava presented an anti-crisis plan to support business programs.
