A 24-year-old man detained in Tbilisi on charges of attempted murder.

According to the Ministry of Internal Affairs, the investigation revealed that during the confrontation, Sh.G. verbally and physically assaulted S.Sh., (DoB 1996), poured gasoline on him and set him on fire. S.Sh. was taken to the clinic with burns. Law enforcers seized a bottle of gasoline as evidence. The detainee pleaded guilty.

The investigation launched under Article 19-108 of the Criminal Code of Georgia. The offense carries a maximum sentence of 7 to 15 years in prison.
