200 firefighters, 10 fire engines and 3 helicopters are trying to extinguish a fire near the village of Khaishi in Mestia municipality.

Fire erupted on June 5.

Three of the four fires in the forest have been contained and now firefighters are trying to put them out. According to the Emergency Management Service, the fourth location is difficult to reach.

Strong winds, heat and difficult terrain have made it difficult for the firefighters to extinguish the fire so far.
