The Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia expresses its readiness to cooperate with the Ombudsman in the framework of the investigation of Giorgi Shakarashvili’s case.

“The Prosecutor’s Office expresses its readiness to cooperate with the Public Defender at any stage within the framework of the investigation of G. Shakarashvili’s case. The representatives of the Prosecutor’s Office have already had communication with the Ombudsman’s Office. Representatives of the Public Defender will be given the opportunity to get access to the case materials of the criminal case”, - reads the statement of the Prosecutor’s office.

The Public Defender’s Office addressed the Prosecutor General’s Office to get access to the case materials in order to study the efficiency of the investigation.
