Protest in Mejvriskhevi - family members of Khvicha Mghebrishvili demand more attention from the authorities

Family members and neighbors of Khvicha Mghebrishvili, a 45-year-old man detained by Russian soldiers 11 days ago, held protest in the village of Mejvriskhevi.

Relatives of detained person said that they had received the information about detention from law enforcers 3 days after abduction of the man but since then they know nothing about Mghebrishvili.

The protesters demanded involvement of international organizations and more attention from the authorities in clarifying the details.

Aleksandre Bujiashvili a representative of Gori Municipality arrived at protest. As he said the European Union Monitoring Mission to Georgia is actively involved in the process.
