Due to high epidemiological risk, entry and exit from Mestia municipality will be partially restricted

Based on the decision of Inter-Agency Coordination Council, due to high epidemiological risk, entry and exit from Mestia municipality will be partially restricted, namely in Mestia settlement, Becho, Etseri, Idliani, Ipari, Kala, Latali, Lakhamuli, Lenjeri, Mulakhi, Nakra, Ushguli, Fari, Tskhumari, Tsvirmi, Tchuberi and Khaishi administrative units. According to the Council decision, entrance to Mestia Municipality direction as well from the mentioned location will be partially restricted, implying that entrance to the municipality will be permitted only to the local population. In case of leaving Mestia Municipality, citizens will have to undergo quarantine period.


Additional quarantine restrictions have been imposed in Mestia settlement, Ushguli and Lenjeri villages of Mestia municipality, implying the restriction on the internal movement between the mentioned locations.


Ministry of Internal Affairs will monitor quarantine restrictions in round-the-clock regime.


Employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will carry out intensive patrolling activities to protect public order and security. Law enforcers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs will provide locals with comprehensive information regarding quarantine restrictions and provide assistance in case if needed.


Ministry of Internal Affairs would like to inform citizens that all persons on the territory of Georgia must follow requirements of the Georgian legislation on public health.
