More than 500 citizens in Svaneti were transferred to quarantine zones organized by the Georgian National Tourism Administration.
In relation to confirmed COVID-19 cases, under the instruction of the Coordinating Council, the Ministry of Economy and Sustainable Development and the National Tourism Administration arranged quarantine zones in 20 hotels of Mestia.
According to the National Tourism Administration, 518 citizens were transferred to the quarantine zone. Out of 518 citizens, 343 were placed in hotels in Mestia while 171 were transferred to quarantine zones of Adjara.
It should be mentioned that entry and exit to the municipality is restricted due to high epidemiological risk. All citizens who leave Mestia are required to undergo mandatory quarantine.
