The employees of Emergency Situations Management Agency under the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of intensive search activities, found the body of a young man in Mtkvari River, who went missing from “Bauhaus” bar.

The body of a young female, who went missing from the “Bauhaus” bar was also found today in the Mtkvari River few hours before the body of a young man was found. Investigation is in progress on the fact of illegal restriction of freedom, crime envisaged under the article 143 of the Criminal Code of Georgia.

On August 15, the MIA received a report regarding the disappearance of two young people from the “Bauhaus” bar located in Tbilisi approximately at 21:00 p.m. The police made immediate response on the report and launched intensive search operation to determine the whereabouts of missing persons. Various investigative activities have already been carried out within the frames of the case investigation, including the interrogation of “Bauhaus” bar personnel, family members of missing persons, friends and others linked to the case. Relevant forensic activities are underway.
