Georgia is to remain closed for international regular flights until October 1, 2020.
According to the Civil Aviation Agency, restrictions on regular international air services do not apply to direct international flights between Tbilisi International Airport and the airports of Munich, Paris and Riga.
“Therefore, if the epidemiological situation in Georgia and the mentioned countries does not worsen, the regular flights of airlines Lufthansa, AirFrance and airBaltic will be carried out in accordance with the established schedule.
"he decision on the gradual restoration of regular air traffic in other directions will be made taking into account the epidemiological situation. Given that the situation in the aviation sector is hardly predictable amid the COVID-19 pandemic and decisions on opening borders and travel restrictions are periodically changed, we again call on citizens and passengers to refrain from purchasing tickets for unconfirmed destinations/flights”, - reads the statement of the agency.
