Unfortunately, August has been a difficult month for the country in recent years. Today is the birthday of Giorgi Antsukhelidze, the national hero of Georgia. We must remember him and pay tribute, the Prime Minister stated in Tsalka.

The Head of the Government honored the memory of the national hero with a minute of silence.

“Unfortunately for the country, August has been a difficult month in recent years and we must certainly remember and pay tribute - today is the birthday of Giorgi Antsukhelidze, the national hero of Georgia. This is the person who showed every citizen of Georgia the highest degree of heroism, the highest example of devotion, life, and self-sacrifice. It is our duty and obligation to continue to live and work in such a way that will ensure that no Georgian - no citizen of Georgia - needs to make such a sacrifice in the future, as well as to unite our country and restore its territorial integrity exclusively through hard work. This is our greatest goal”, - said Giorgi Gakharia.
