According to Kurieri, Davit Purtskhvanidze has been detained for falsifying evidence and spreading false information pertaining to the death of Tamar Bachaliashvili.

According to the Prosecutor’s Office, Purtsvanidze gave faked satellite photos to the lawyer of Bachaliashvili’s family Mikheil Ramishvili, who then presented the photos, claiming they were evidence that Bachaliashvili had been killed, which contradicts the official account of drug intoxication.

A report issued on September 18 on the results of the official autopsy performed on her body established the cause of death due to the ingestion of toxic substances. The autopsy also said there were no physical injuries on her body.
