The increase in the number of infected people will not lead to a shortage of beds. Such a statement made today the Minister of Health after the meeting of the Coordination Council.
“Today we have a record number - 680 infected. The service of hospitalization and family doctors is successfully functioning in Georgia. For now, up to 2 200 patients are undergoing intensive treatment in clinics. Along with the increase in infection, patients are recovering. Therefore, this increase will not necessarily lead to a crisis as there are 3 500 free beds. During today’s meeting we discussed the restrictions, but we have not yet made a decision, and the current regulations remain in force. Additional restrictions are the subject of discussion. The decision will be made, taking into account various parameters, based on the overall results”, - said Ekaterine Tikaradze.
