In the past 24 hours, 4,780 new infection cases have been confirmed, Berdia Sichinava, Deputy Head of the Task Force under the Interagency Coordination Council, stated during today’s briefing at the Administration of the Government.
“Since the first outbreak of COVID-19 in the country, we have had a total of 123,470 confirmed cases. We have 3,489 recoveries in the past 24 hours, increasing the total number of recoveries to 102,270.
Unfortunately, 37 people have died in the past 24 hours. Since February 26, 2020, we have had a total of 1,161 fatalities.
Of the 4,780 cases identified today, 1,863 were confirmed in Tbilisi, 664 in Adjara, 648 in Imereti, 319 in Kvemo Kartli, 259 in Shida Kartli, 102 in Guria, 385 in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, 280 in Kakheti, 128 in Mtskheta-Mtianeti, 89 in Samtskhe-Javakheti, and 43 in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti.
Presently, we have 20,013 active infection cases. 6,251 persons are treated in hospitals, including 2,724 in Tbilisi, 1,020 in Adjara, and 1,219 in Imereti. We have 976 severe cases, including 447 in Tbilisi, 154 in Adjara, and 226 in Imereti, of whom 375 are on a ventilator, including 201 in Tbilisi, 49 in Adjara, and 45 in Imereti.
3,863 persons are at COVID hotels, including 1,266 in Tbilisi, 2,039 in Adjara, and 278 in Imereti. 9,899 persons are recovering at home.
We have 2,114 persons in quarantine zones, including 458 in Tbilisi, 1,034 in Adjara, and 35 in Imereti.
Since October 6 through November 26, a total of 18,327 persons have been transported from the state border into quarantine zones.
Presently, 54,554 persons are self-isolating, including 18,087 in Tbilisi, 14,450 in Adjara, and 4,816 in Imereti”, - said Berdia Sichinava.
