4 260 new cases of COVID-19 have been confirmed within the last 24 hours. It was announced by Berdia Sichinava, Deputy Head of the Task Force operating at the Inter-Agency Coordination Council at a press-briefing held today at the Government Administration.

“Since the detection of the first case the total number of infected has reached 147 636.

2 947 individuals have recovered within the last 24 hours, thus making the total number of recoveries reach 124 568.

Unfortunately, 45 new fatal cases have occurred within the last 24 hours. Since February 26, 2020 the total death toll has reached 1 387.

Out of 4 260 new cases detected today, geographic coverage of COVID-19 is as follows: 1 676 cases have been detected in Tbilisi, 525 - in Adjara, 591 - in Imereti, 351 - in Kvemo Kartli, 294 - in Shida Kartli, 131 - in Guria, 274 - in Samegrelo-Zemo Svaneti, 166 - in Kakheti, 134 - in Mtskheta-Mtianeti, 88 - in Samtskhe-Javakheti and 30 - in Racha-Lechkhumi and Kvemo Svaneti.

At present, active cases of COVID-19 have reached 21 655, out of which 6 561 individuals are treated at hospitals, out of which 2 843 are stationed in Tbilisi, 1 043 - in Adjara and 1 255 - in Imereti.

Currently, acute health conditions are observed in the case of 1 027 patients, out of which 486 are based in Tbilisi, 152 - in Adjara and 218 - in Imereti. Lung ventilators are used in the case of 390 patients, out of which 206 are stationed in Tbilisi, 45 - in Adjara and 43 - in Imereti. 3 867 individuals are placed at COVID Hotels, out of which 1 283 are based in Tbilisi, 1 997 - in Adjara and 332 - in Imereti. 11 227 individuals are treated at home.

1 974 individuals are placed in quarantine, out of which 478 are located in Tbilisi, 970 - in Adjara and 31 - in Imereti.

In total, 19 769 individuals have been transported from the sovereign border to quarantine spaces in the period of October 6 through December 2, 2020.

At present, 50 544 individuals are in self-isolation, out of which 18 675 are based in Tbilisi, 11 775 - in Adjara and 5 080 - in Imereti”, - said Berdia Sichinava.
