Former MEP for the VVD and MEP Hans van Baalen has died at the age of 60. He died after a short illness in a hospital in Rotterdam. He was recently diagnosed with cancer. His situation suddenly deteriorated rapidly in recent weeks, a friend of his family told the NOS.
