The Special Investigation Service launched an investigation under Article 333, Part 3, Paragraph “B” of the Criminal Code of Georgia into the fact of possible exceeding official powers using violence by law enforcement officers of the Ministry of Internal Affairs against Zurab Girchi Japaridze and other protest demonstration participants, held near the Georgian Parliament on March 7-8, 2023, in Tbilisi.

The Special Investigation Service conducts all the necessary investigative and procedural actions to ensure objective investigation.
