One of them, a member of the United National Movement, Dimitri Chikovani was severely beaten near his apartment building entrance in Sololaki district. He was found later lying near the entrance and taken to the hospital. As he said, he was attacked by several people in hoodies.

Another person attacked tonight is Lasha Ghvinianidze [one of the activists of the current demonstrations, one of the organizers of the bikers’ marches]. He had bruises and lacerations on his head and lip and had to get five stitches in the hospital.

Later in the evening, Gia Japaridze, another activist, a former career diplomat, the researcher of Chavchavadze Center, was also beaten in the yard of his home. Gia Japaridze is the brother of the leader of the “Girchi-More Freedom”, Zurab Japaridze.

“Japaridze’s general condition is stable. He is under observation. Laboratory tests are being conducted. There is a skull-brain injury, a wound in the head. He has injuries on the head and face”, - said Ivane Avazashvili, the doctor of the Khechinashvili clinic.
