Employees of Tbilisi Police Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, as a result of operational measures and investigative actions, detained E.A. (DoB 1984) for premeditated murder committed with remarkable cruelty.

The committed crime envisions from 16 to 20 years or life imprisonment.

The investigation established that on March 22 of the current year, on the basis of a mutual dispute, the accused person inflicted dozens of wounds with a cold steel to his acquaintance - R.M. (DoB 1959) in Tbilisi, and later on, in order to conceal the traces of crime set fire to the body and hid from the scene.

The police, as a result of operational measures and investigative actions, detained E.A. few hours after the incident.

The investigation is being conducted under Article 109, subsection "M" of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which refers to premeditated murder committed with special cruelty.
