Irakli Garibashvili, Prime Minister of Georgia met Choue Chung-won, President of the World Taekwondo Federation today.
Dignitaries spoke about the success stories of the National Team of Georgia in taekwondo and discussed the steps to be made for promoting a further development and advancement of the national team.
Focus was made on the measures planned for increasing the competencies and qualification of Georgian coaches and referees, as well as for the development of the taekwondo infrastructure in the country. Significance of the support expected from international federation was highlighted in this context.
Discussion was related to the promotion and popularization of taekwondo, both within the country and beyond its borders. The President of the World Taekwondo Federation expressed an initiative to organize significant international events in the nearest future in the referred field in Georgia.
Meeting held within the Government Administration was attended by Jerry Ling, CFO of the World Taekwondo Federation, while the Georgian attendees included Teimuraz Mgebrishvili, President of the National Taekwondo Federation of Georgia and Levan Fiolia, Secretary General of the National Taekwondo Federation of Georgia.
