Works in the elimination of the damage inflicted to Kakheti following the strong wind are underway.

42 subscribers have been restored electricity supply. The municipality will cover expenses for the restoration of roofs.

According to the Mayor of Telavi, Levan Andriashvili, more than 130 private houses and 11 multi-apartment residential buildings were damaged. Besides, administrative buildings, kindergarten, school and university building were damaged.

The December 28 strong wind uprooted trees, stripped off roofs from houses and damaged electricity lines in Kakheti. The commission set up at the municipality is calculating the damage.
