Voting for the coalition of four parties aligned with “foreign agents” would mean supporting the return of a violent regime - Garibashvili

The Chairman of the Georgian Dream said that voting for the Georgian ruling party would support peace, stability, development, the well-being of families, and a dignified European future for a united Georgia.

In his speech at a campaign meeting in Tbilisi, Irakli Garibashvili warned that voting for the coalition of 4 parties aligned with “foreign agents” would mean supporting the return of a “violent regime” [United National Movement Government], opening a 2nd front, and sending one’s children to war.

“The historic victory on October 1, 2012, was achieved alongside the Georgian people under the leadership of its main architect, our party"s founder, an exemplary patriot, and a true fighter, Bidzina Ivanishvili. Even today, under his leadership, we see the same spirit of determination, which guarantees that on October 26, we will win together again, with dignity, justice, and conviction.

The severe hardships inflicted by the UNM, including oppression, violence, and widespread injustice, leading to despair among the Georgian people.

Today, we can confidently say that October 1, 2012, became a symbol of one of the most significant changes in our country’s history, bringing about stable development, prosperity, freedom, and, most importantly, an uninterrupted period of peace. Over the past 12 years, our country and our Government have achieved tangible progress in all areas and directions.

Upon coming to power, we liberated the media and businesses, tripled the economy, and doubled the country’s budget. Poverty and unemployment were halved, a visa-free regime was implemented, and free trade agreements were established with the EU, China, Russia, and Middle Eastern countries. In just 12 years, Georgia became a candidate state for EU membership.

We achieved all of this during a period of challenging geopolitical transformation, standing firmly and dignifiedly on two feet while prioritising our national interests and, most importantly, without war - without the destruction of the country and the annihilation of our people

On October 26, we must say no to foreign agents, their patrons, pseudo liberal fascism, and LGBT propaganda. We must reject foreign interference in our internal affairs and the arrogant meddling of foreign politicians in Georgian politics and elections. Above all, we must assert that this is Georgia, this country is ours, Georgia belongs to us”, - said Irakli Garibashvili.
