Ruling team won by more than 890,000 votes over the 2nd-place party, which in itself demonstrates society’s stance toward current events. Such a statement made today the Prime Minister of Georgia.

“This is our 1st government session after the elections, and before we transition to our working regime, I want to summarize the process we’ve gone through. We are, of course, pleased that the Georgian people have expressed their trust in the ruling team – this is very strong support that we received from the Georgian people in these elections, which represents trust in the ruling team and trust expressed in the Georgian government and its governmental program.

This trust is unprecedented, as evidenced by the number of votes and voter turnout in the elections. Our call to society was that everyone should come out to vote, and this indeed happened. We saw practically unprecedented turnout in these elections – countless of our fellow citizens came out to protect Georgia’s national interests, our vital interests, and peace, and to ensure the country’s unhindered development. For this, I want to thank each citizen who acted with such high civic responsibility.

I want to emphasize certain details related to the election results. The ruling team won by more than 890,000 votes over the second-place party, which in itself demonstrates society’s stance toward current events, toward the Georgian Dream, and separately toward the opposition”, - said Irakli Kobakhidze.
