The Prime Minister of Georgia congratulated Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on the 101st anniversary of Turkey’s Republic Day.

“Mr. President, I heartily congratulate you on the 101st anniversary of the proclamation of the Republic of Turkey and wish you and the brotherly Turkish people peace and prosperity.

I want to highlight with satisfaction that bilateral relations between Georgia and Turkey have been developing dynamically in recent years, which contributes to the creation of new opportunities in the [South Caucasus] region and the implementation of strategically important projects.

I am grateful for Turkey’s unwavering support for Georgia’s territorial integrity and sovereignty, as well as its aspiration to join the Euro-Atlantic space. I take this opportunity to affirm the Georgian Government’s readiness to deepen the exemplary strategic partnership between Georgia and Turkey. I think the efforts of our countries are important to ensure peace and stability in the [South Caucasus] region. Our bilateral and multilateral initiatives create an important basis for the sustainable economic growth and stability of the [South Caucasus] region”, - says Irakli Kobakhidze.
