Heavy snowfall has caused problems in the regions - roofs of houses damaged in the Lanchkhuti and Ozurgeti municipalities.

According to the Mayor of Lanchkhuti Municipality, additional equipment has been mobilized and the population may be evacuated.

“We are now heading in different directions to evacuate people as much as possible or to clean up roads for them. Electricity is not supplied to several administrative units, including Chochkhati, Ghrmageli and Atsana. We have already evacuated a certain part of the population - some are in hotels and some at relatives. According to the existing information, about 40 houses have collapsed. Although residential buildings have been damaged, we have no information about injuries yet”, - added Aleksandre Sarishvili.
