Due to heavy snowfall, the Zugdidi Municipality City Hall is operating in an emergency mode. As the Deputy Mayor of Zugdidi Municipality, Meizer Nanava, said, cleaning works are currently underway on the internal roads of the villages.

Both equipment and human resources have been mobilized.

“The internal roads of the administrative units are being repaired. Human resources have been mobilized and cleaning works are underway, however, there are problems and challenges. The educational process has been suspended in 7 public schools, children did not show up in several public kindergartens. We are in intensive communication with “Energo-Pro Georgia”, as electricity is not supplied to several villages. Electricity will be restored by the end of the day”, - added Meizer Nanava.
