The Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia announced that investigative actions were underway at the residences of individuals leading the so-called “foundations”, as part of an ongoing investigation into sabotage and assisting foreign-controlled organisations in hostile activities against the country.
According to the statement, these investigative actions are underway under the Tbilisi City Court’s rulings.
“As part of the ongoing investigation into sabotage, attempted sabotage under aggravating circumstances, assisting foreign or foreign-controlled organisations in hostile activities, and mobilising financial resources for actions aimed against Georgia’s constitutional order and national security, the bank accounts of the “Nanuka’s Foundation”, “Prosperity”, “Foundation for Each Other 24/7”, “Shame Movement”, and the “Tbilisi Human Rights House” were frozen on March 17, 2025.
These organisations had allegedly been involved in providing financial support to individuals accused of committing serious crimes against public order and their family members, as well as in covering administrative fines imposed on offenders.
To gather information and documentation of evidentiary value for the criminal case, the Tbilisi City Court authorized searches of the residential buildings and personal premises of the leaders of these foundations - Nana Zhorzholiani, Aleksandre Tskitishvili, Lasha Arveladze, Guga Khelaia, and Mariam Bajelidze - at their actual and registered addresses. Investigative units from the Prosecutor’s Office of Georgia are currently conducting these operations”, - reads the statement of the agency.
