Within the frames of complex measures carried out in recent days, Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs [MIA] of Georgia, in close coordination with relevant units of the Ministry, 31 foreign citizens were deported from Georgia.
In accordance with the acting legislation, the deported persons were banned from entering the country.
A total of 31 citizens of India, Egypt, Jordan, Turkey, Pakistan, China, Iran, Bangladesh, Iraq, Russia, Azerbaijan, Turkmenistan, Burundi and Kazakhstan were deported from Georgia.
The Migration Department of the MIA is the body responsible for combating illegal migration within the country. One of its competencies is to identify and expel foreign citizens who are in Georgia without legal grounds.
