Volodymyr Zelensky is convinced that Ukraine and its allies have come very close to the moment when it is possible to force Russia to end or at least stop the war, but for this the United States must impose tough sanctions against Russia.

The Ukrainian president said this in an interview with ABC News.

“Frankly speaking, we have come very close to the moment when it is possible to force Russia to end the war, at least to stop it. We feel it. Our Operation Web... although they [Russians] are mad, they all understand - that if there are such cases with 20 000 missiles [which the US planned for Ukraine, but transferred to Middle East], etc., we will count on our own forces.... we don’t want the war to continue, but if this is the only way out, we will fight for ourselves. We are getting very close. We need strong help from the US, the US needs unity with Europe, and still put pressure on Putin. He doesn’t want to end the war, but he can end the war because of pressure from partners. In my opinion, that gives it a chance. And it definitely doesn’t sound pessimistic, I’m talking about reality”, - said the President of Ukraine.
