Pension Agency report introduced to the Health Care and Social Issues Committee

Giorgi Chichinadze, the acting Director of the Pension Agency, reported to the Health Care and Social Issues Committee on the activity of the Agency for 2024, providing statistical data.

“In 2024, the Agency’s portfolios demonstrated remarkable success. All three portfolios achieved double-digit returns.

Notably, the dynamic portfolio exhibited the most pronounced growth, generating an annual income of 13.6%. The balanced portfolio experienced a modest increase of 12.8%. Conversely, the conservative portfolio, while holding the lowest allocation to global stocks at 11.6%, still achieved a satisfactory outcome”, - he reported.

According to Giorgi Chichinadze, in 2024, the Agency was integrated into the World Bank Reserve Advisory & Management Partnership (RAMP), which significantly contributed to the improvement of the strategic asset management framework. Furthermore, the Agency has invested in the EBRD bonds.

As per the reporter, the pensions issued to 8,363 individuals during the reporting year constituted up to 40 million GEL.

The reporter accentuated the amendments introduced to the Law on Funded Pension, noting that the amendments with the effective date of May 1, 2025, retitled the Pension Agency into the LEPL Pension Fund of Georgia.

The Committee gave a positive assessment of the report.
