Giorgi Vashadze sentenced to 7 months in prison

The Tbilisi City Court has sentenced Giorgi Vashadze, leader of the Strategy Aghmashenebeli, to 7 months imprisonment for failing to comply with demands from Parliament`s temporary investigative commission.

He has also been barred from holding public office for a period of 2 years.

Vashadze didn`t attend the court session.

On April 23, the Tbilisi City Court imposed a GEL 50,000 bail as a preventive measure in the case concerning Vashadze`s failure to appear before the investigative commission, which he paid within the legally stipulated timeframe.
