As a result of operative-searching and investigative activities carried out by the representatives of Investigation Service of the Ministry of Finance of Georgia, an employee of the LEPL Social Service Agency of the Ministry of Internally Displaced Persons from the Occupied Territories, Labour, Health and Social Affairs, G.A., was detained on the fact of misappropriation of the property belonging to the same agency.

Investigation determined that detainee, in order to obtain material benefits, illegally took possession of material assets belonging to the agency that were in his legal possession.

As a result of the measures carried out, G.A. was detained at his business address while selling misappropriated goods, during which he received cash in the amount of GEL 3,472.

The misappropriated goods and the money received from their sale were seized as evidences.

Relevant investigative actions are being intensively carried out in order to expose individuals involved in criminal activities together with the accused.

Investigation is underway under the second part of Article 182 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, which envisages imprisonment from 4 to 7 years.
