The Revenue Service released the statement regarding the rental of Mamuka Khazaradze’s family apartment by the German Ambassador to Georgia.

“Given the high public interest, we would like to provide the public with information regarding possible tax evasion when real estate owned by Mamuka Khazaradze’s family was allegedly leased to the Ambassador of the Federal Republic of Germany to Georgia, Ernst Peter Fischer.

Following the information disseminated in the public domain, an analysis of the issue revealed a possible violation of tax law, which is why the Revenue Service has already begun investigating the facts and will conduct tax control measures specified by law in order to fully study the information”, - reads the statement.
