Starting in 2026, we will be launching a program to replace dilapidated buildings in the historical part of Tbilisi. Such a statement made today Kakha Kaladze.
“This program is wholly based on justice and protecting the interests of the population.
Under this rule, the municipality, will fully redeem the real estate located in the historical area from private owners with the full, 100% consent of the population, will fully redeem real estate located in the historical area from private owners.
The redeemable property will be assessed at market value to ensure fair redemption and protect the economic interests of the population. The liberated areas will be prepared for investment purposes in a way that maintains the historical identity of the city, and at the same timecreates new development opportunities. This approach allows us to achieve two most important goals: ensuring safety and protection of each citizen’s property and, at the same time, maintaining the uniqueness and authenticity of our historical areas”, - said the Mayor of Tbilisi.
