Prime Minister of Georgia together with members of the Cabinet of Ministers, visited the Central Park in Borjomi to review the ongoing rehabilitation works.
Irakli Kobakhidze inspected the works already completed and currently underway in the park and received detailed information about the project from Minister of Infrastructure Revaz Sokhadze. At this stage, rehabilitation is being carried out on Borjomi`s former factory, a building with a status of cultural heritage, where full restoration of the façade is actively in progress.
The project envisages a complete renewal of Borjomi`s historic park, including the installation of recreational, children`s and sports playgrounds, as well as the refurbishment of pedestrian paths.
Rehabilitation of the park`s sports facilities is in an active phase. Construction of three padel courts has already been completed, while the development of a multifunctional stadium and a skate park is underway.
In the entertainment zone of the park, new attractions have been installed, a new recreational area has been created, and the drainage and irrigation systems have been completely upgraded. The park will also be fully adapted for people with special needs.
The total cost of rehabilitation of the Central Park in Borjomi amounts to 35 million GEL.
