Employees of the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs, in close coordination with the relevant units of the Ministry, have deported 56 foreign citizens from Georgia in recent days.
As a result of complex measures carried out by the Migration Department, citizens of: Turkey, India, Russia, China, Kazakhstan, Turkmenistan, Bangladesh, Pakistan, Egypt, Israel, Cyprus, Morocco, Nigeria, Armenia, Uzbekistan and Azerbaijan were expelled from the country.
In accordance with the current legislation, the deported persons were banned from entering the country. One of the competencies of the Migration Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Georgia is to identify and deport foreign citizens who are residing in Georgia without legal grounds, through intensive immigration control and other special measures.
