Brussels must stop its hostile policy - Shalva Papuashvili

Unfortunately, we have enemies of this country’s development in Europe who directly want to damage our country. First of all, Brussels must stop this hostile policy. This is how Shalva Papuashvili responds to another resolution, the discussion of which is planned by the Council of Europe, and one of whose authors is Rasa Juknevičienė.

According to the Chairman of the Georgian Parliament, Brussels is obliged to respect the commitments undertaken under the Association Agreement.

“When Brussels takes hostile steps against a candidate country, this does not fit into any of the commitments that Brussels, for its part, has undertaken before the Georgian people by the fact that we have an Association Agreement. Therefore, pursuing a hostile policy under the terms of the Association Agreement is a violation of the Association Agreement itself and a disrespect to Georgia as a candidate country. That is why it is important that this hostile policy against the Georgian people stops”, - said Shalva Papuashvili.
