Patrol police seized a large amount of drugs in Tbilisi - 2 persons arrested

Officers of Tbilisi Main Division of the Patrol Police Department under the Ministry of Internal Affairs have arrested previously convicted two persons on charges of facilitating the illegal purchase, storage and sale of a large amount of narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances in a group.

As a result of personal search and search activities held in residential homes of the defendants in Tbilisi, law enforcement officers seized a particularly large amount of various narcotic drugs and psychotropic substances, including: Mephedrone, Methadone, MDMA, Clephedrone, dried marijuana and ketamine as evidence.

The police also seized materials necessary for packaging narcotic drugs.

The investigation is underway under Articles 260, 261 and 260-4 of the Criminal Code of Georgia, envisioning up to 20 years or life imprisonment.
